“There were systems in place to safeguard people from abuse. There were enough staff who had sufficient travel time between visits. People had care plans which had clear information about people’s daily routines. People’s needs were thoroughly assessed before they began receiving support, and staff told us they had enough information about people before supporting them. Staff received a range of training and spoke positively about the support they received from leaders.”
“The service was well led. There was an open-door policy for staff to raise concerns at any time. Leaders promoted equality, diversity and inclusion. Leaders engaged well with healthcare professionals.”
“However, medicine related documents were not always in place or of good quality. Care plans did not always contain clear information about risks people faced and how to mitigate these, and some lacked information relating to people’s health conditions and how these affected people. People did not have information in their care plans about their end of life wishes.”
