Free for the people who need it

Searching, comparing, saving and enquiring on yourcarehome.co.uk is free, and it always will be. Every regulated care home and home care agency in the UK is listed at no cost, whether or not the provider ever pays us anything.

What keeps it free

Two things fund the site. Providers can pay for an Advanced listing, which gives them a fuller profile and paid placement; paid listings appear ahead of free listings in search results, and featured placements are labelled so you can tell them apart. And we show Google advertising on free listings only, never on paid ones.

We do not charge referral fees, and we do not take a commission when a family chooses a provider or moves in. No fee we earn is tied to any care decision you make.

What payment never changes

Payment does not change a provider’s inspection ratings, which come from the UK care regulators. It does not change the reviews we publish, or whether we publish them; reviews are moderated under the same Review and Comments Policy whatever a provider pays. No badge can be bought: every award is earned against objective criteria, such as inspection results and reviews, and payment never changes those criteria. Most badges are free for any listing that earns them; a small number, such as the Gold and Platinum review awards, display only on listings with a paid plan, and badges that reflect a paid plan say so plainly.
