Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 20th October 2026
1. Our commitment
This accessibility statement applies to yourcarehome.co.uk. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnification, speech recognition software, or keyboard-only navigation.
2. How accessible this website is
We know that some parts of this website are not yet fully accessible. This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the website do not yet fully meet the standard, as set out in the sections below.
3. What we have done
We have worked on the following, and continue to improve them:
- a consistent heading and landmark structure on our main page templates, to help you navigate with a screen reader;
- text alternatives on the images used in the website’s own interface, such as icons and buttons;
- navigation that can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, without a mouse or touchscreen; and
- forms with labelled fields, so it is clear what information is being asked for.
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, we know the following issues exist:
- some utility page templates do not yet declare a main content landmark;
- some pages have heading levels that are out of sequence;
- some content is supplied by third parties, including embedded maps, the payment checkout, and the cookie consent banner, and this content may not fully conform to the same standard.
We are working through these issues as part of our ongoing development of the website.
5. Feedback and reporting accessibility problems
If you find any problem not listed on this page, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact us via our contact page. If possible, please include the page URL, a description of the issue, and the device and browser you were using. We aim to respond within 14 days.
6. Enforcement
We are a private company, so the accessibility regulations that apply to public sector websites do not apply to us. We have chosen to follow WCAG 2.2 level AA as good practice. The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers, including us, to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you are not happy with how we respond to your accessibility complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com or on 0808 800 0082.
7. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 24th March 2026 and last reviewed on 20th October 2026. This assessment is our own, based on testing of the main page templates. We review this statement at least once a year, or when we make significant changes to the website.
