“This assessment was prompted following a review of the information we held about the service. As part of this assessment, we looked at 33 quality statements across our 5 key questions. This was a remote assessment and was announced. We gave the service 48 hours’ notice before the assessment. This was because we wanted to make sure someone would be available to support us with the inspection.”

“The assessment was carried out by 1 inspector. As part of our assessment, we spoke with the registered manager, the director/nominated individual, 12 people and relatives, 9 care workers and 7 external professionals.”

“People received personalised care and support from staff of this service who knew them well and understood their individual needs. There was a strong focus on continuity of care, communication and helping people to remain safe and independent at home. Managers regularly checked the quality of the service and acted on concerns to make improvements. People and staff were encouraged to provide feedback about the service and told us managers were responsive when concerns were raised.”

“We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence, and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. At the time of this assessment, the service was providing care in line with ‘Right support, right care, right culture.’”
