“Date of assessment: 19 – 25 June 2025. Onsite visits took place on 19 June 2025 and 23 June 2025. The service is a care home supporting older adults some of whom were living with dementia. This assessment took place to address previous breaches of regulation. At the previous inspection we had found seven breaches of the legal regulation. In relation to assessing the risk of, and preventing, detecting and controlling the spread of infections. The provider had also failed to ensure new staff were of good character and failed to ensure recruitment procedures were operated effectively. The provider had previously failed to identify, assess and manage risks to people. The provider had previously failed to ensure the premises and equipment used were clean, safe and properly maintained. The provider had previously failed to establish effective quality assurance systems and to identify and manage risks. We also found records were not always accurate and complete, including for staff employed by the provider and we found systems did not support the continuous evaluation and improvement of the service. Improvements were found at this assessment and the provider was no longer in breach of the regulations. The service was managed by two registered managers who were keen to ensure people lived happy healthy lives. The home was clean, and people and their relatives had input into the way care was provided. Staff were recruited safely and trained to a standard to safely support people. The provider had high standards of care and expected staff to live up to them. Staff were well supported by the manager. The registered manager carried out checks and audits to monitor care and cleanliness at the home. The registered manager worked with other healthcare professionals and ensured people could access the local community.”
