“People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks to people’s safety. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care. Staff managed medicines safely.”

“People were involved in assessments of their needs. Staff regularly reviewed people’s care to ensure it continued to meet people’s needs. Staff provided any support required with meals and if required, liaised with healthcare professionals to support people to live a healthy life. Staff made sure people understood their care to enable them to give informed consent. Staff involved those important to people to take decisions in people’s best interests where they did not have capacity.”

“Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Governance systems were in place to review the quality and safety of care provision, and if required action was taken to address any areas requiring improvement.”
