“Kairos Care Services Ltd is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care and nursing care to people living in their own homes. At the time of the assessment, only personal care was being provided. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity of personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. This is the first assessment for this newly registered service, and we looked at all quality statements within, safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. The service has been rated as good. We found the service provided safe and person-centred care. Staff demonstrated a good understanding of people’s individual needs, preferences and routines. Care plans were detailed and reflected people’s health, wellbeing and preferences of care. People were actively involved in decisions about their care and were supported to maintain independence, choice and control. People were supported by a regular staff team, this supported continuity of care and meant staff were able to recognise changes in health, wellbeing and support needs. Staff were supported through training, supervision, spot checks and appraisals, helping them maintain the skills and confidence needed to provide effective care. Some areas required further development, including additional risk assessments and guidance around specific risk. However, leaders were open to feedback and committed to improving outcomes for people.”
