“Deneholme Care Centre provides care and support to people in their own homes so they can live as independently as possible. The service supports older people, including those with physical and mental health issues. At the time of the assessment, 12 people used the home care service.”

“This was the first assessment of this newly registered service.”

“There were enough suitably recruited staff to meet people’s needs. Staff were exceptionally kind and caring, appropriately trained and well supported.”

“People received their medicines in a timely manner, although some updates to paperwork were required. People’s nutritional needs were well supported. People were supported to develop and maintain their independence, achieve their personal goals, and live as independently as possible within their own homes, leading to positive outcomes and an improved quality of life.”

“Staff kept people’s homes tidy and used personal protective equipment when necessary.”

“Consent was obtained from people whenever possible and capacity assessments and best interests decisions made when a person lacked capacity to give their consent.”

“The provider maintained quality assurance checks to ensure the service remained safe and effective. Leaders and staff worked extremely well together, particularly with other organisations to help people achieve good outcomes and remain healthy. The registered manager listened to our feedback and took immediate action where necessary, including with paperwork updates that required attention.”
