The provider had systems to manage any concerns that were raised. Staff and people benefited from an open and positive culture that had been developed by the registered manager. Staff gave us feedback that they felt valued and undertook regular training. The provider employed a small team of staff and staffing levels were managed well. Recruitment checks of staff were carried out by the provider before they started working for the service. Risks to people were safely managed, with risk assessments in place to help minimise any risks.”

“People were actively involved in their care, and they consented to the care and support provided. People were treated as individuals and were encouraged to be independent. Staff were kind and compassionate and knowledgeable of people’s needs. The provider was keen to place people’s care at the heart of the service, to help deliver person centred care.”

“The service had effective governance systems with a regular schedule of audits taken place. This included checks of medicines records, people’s daily records, care plans and health and safety. The registered manager carried out spot checks took place to monitor staff’s performance.”
