“Date of assessment: 24 and 25 March 2025. We carried out a visit to the service on 25 March 2025. The service was registered with CQC on 6 October 2022, and this is the first assessment. We have rated the service good.”

“We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. The provider was able to demonstrate they were meeting these principles.”

“People were able to make choices about their care and support. They were encouraged to try new things and be independent when they wanted. The provider promoted positive risk taking. The staff worked closely with other professionals to support people to access to different services. They also advocated for people to help make sure they received good quality care and experiences. Staff were trained to understand how to support people with a learning disability and how to provide complex care interventions. Some people did not use words to communicate. The staff found ways to help people make choices and to understand information. People’s care was well planned, and they were supported by skilled and kind staff. The provider had effective systems to monitor the service and to make sure people received person-centred care.”
