“Thurlaston Meadows Care Home Ltd is a care home providing personal care and accommodation to older people who may live with physical disabilities, dementia or sensory impairment. Care and accommodation is provided to people on both a short and long term basis. At the time of the inspection there were 31 people living at the home. The service had made improvements in the way people’s risks and medicines were managed and are no longer in breach of regulations. Staff were recruited safely and knew people and their safety needs well. People’s risks were now identified and actions taken to mitigate their risks. People’s care needs were regularly reviewed. Staff understood what was expected of them and were now supported to provide good care. Staff tailored the care they provided to people, so it reflected what mattered to them and worked across teams to help people to achieve good outcomes. Staff consulted other and supported people in their best interests, where people wanted support to make key decisions about their care. The service had made improvements in the way the home was managed and are no longer in breach of regulations. However, some further development is required of governance systems to ensure records of the care provided to people are consistently made, and to drive further improvement at the home.”
