“Date of assessment was 10 September 2025 to 19 September 2025. This included 1 site visit to the service on 10 September 2025. Shipley Manor is a residential care home providing personal care to adults, some of whom may be living with dementia. At the time of our assessment there were 62 people living at the service. We have not previously rated this service.”

“The service provided to people was consistently kind, caring, and highly responsive to people’s needs. Staff were observed treating individuals with dignity and compassion, fostering strong, respectful relationships built on trust. Care was person-centred, with people’s preferences and goals actively listened to and reflected in the support they received. The service demonstrated a strong commitment to effective care by ensuring staff had the skills and knowledge required, supporting positive outcomes for people. Workforce wellbeing was a clear priority, with staff feeling valued, supported, and motivated, contributing directly to the high standard of care delivered. However, we found some improvement was needed in the management of medicines to ensure this was delivered to the same standard as the care.”
