“Date of Assessment: 11 March 2025. The service is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 31 people living with dementia. The service registered with CQC in October 2022, and this was their first assessment. We carried out the assessment to award a rating.”
“The atmosphere throughout Moorgate Croft was exceptionally positive, welcoming and homely. People and relatives were full of praise for the staff team. We saw several instances of very personalised care and rehabilitation, and measurable improvements in people’s health and wellbeing. This was underpinned by very good governance and management oversight. The management team consisted of excellent leaders who, along with a strong staff team, had the skills to deliver exceptional support to people. The provider promoted a culture of honesty and learning and people were confident to speak up should they need to. The management team investigated incidents thoroughly.”

“Risks associated with people’s care and support were identified and prompt and thoughtful action was taken to mitigate them. The home was clean and well maintained. Managers were clear about their roles and were passionate about the support offered to people, which was centred around and involved people to be at the heart of their care. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. The management team made sure staff received training, regular appraisals and support to maintain high-quality care.”
