“There was not always evidence people were involved in planning their care; however, relatives told us they were asked for their input. Some care plans needed updating to ensure they accurately reflected people’s needs and included more personalised information. We raised this with the provider, who promptly updated the care plans and added further details were required.”

“Medicines were not always managed safely. We found medicine counts were sometimes incorrect, and medicines were not consistently returned to the pharmacy as required. The provider responded to our feedback and sought support from Sefton medicines management team.”

“Some areas of the environment required refurbishment; however, a refurbishment plan was already in place, and the registered manager was actively addressing these issues with the provider.”

“Staff reported being happy with the support they received from management and described them as approachable.”

“People had access to external health professionals when needed. The provider worked closely with multiple agencies to ensure safe, effective care and to promote independence. Some people were receiving therapy input to help them return home, supporting independence and self-care skills.”
