“Date of assessment: 27 August to 31 August 2025. The assessment was completed due to concerns received about the service. Manna Walk is a residential service that was providing personal care to 7 adults with learning disabilities at the time of the assessment. As part of the assessment, we spoke with people, staff, leaders and relatives and reviewed records in relation to people’s support.”

“We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.”

“We did not assess all quality statements at this assessment. We reviewed safe, effective, caring and responsive domains.”

“People received individualised support based on their assessed needs, goals and aspirations. Support was planned, delivered and regularly reviewed in partnership with people, their relatives and relevant professionals. Support was person-centred and focused on ensuring people had choice and control in their daily lives.”

“People received safe, dignified, care and support from well-trained, knowledgeable staff. There were always enough staff on duty to promptly meet people’s needs. Risks to people were understood and managed effectively to reduce the likelihood of harm. Staff knew how to safeguard people and protect their well-being.”

“The provider’s culture was based on openness and respect. The nominated individual and registered manager were committed to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care. They valued people, relatives, and staff and listened to their views.”
