“People felt safe and relatives were confident that staff communicated with them when concerns arose. There were enough suitably recruited and trained staff to meet people’s needs, and staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities. People received their daily medicines from trained staff.”

People enjoyed meals that reflected their preferences and dietary needs. Staff sought prompt support from healthcare professionals which had contributed to improved health outcomes for people.”

“People’s communication and accessibility needs were identified. People could give feedback, raise concerns and contribute with suggestions for improvement by attending regular resident’s meetings led by the management team.”

“The service was well managed and had an open, compassionate culture. Governance systems monitored the quality and safety of care, and the registered manager responded promptly when improvements were identified. However, we identified some areas where monitoring systems, oversight and records could be strengthened. This included concerns around some aspects of environmental safety, medicines management of ‘as required’ medications and ensuring records clearly demonstrated people's involvement in care planning and reviews. The registered manager responded promptly to the issues identified and took immediate action to address them.”
