“Date of Assessment: 17 March 2025 to 20 March 2025. Astor Court is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 43 people who have physical and mental health conditions. At the time of the inspection 36 people used the service.”

“A registered manager was in post.”
“Medicines were generally well managed. We gave feedback on procedures regarding homely medicines, creams and storage which was addressed by the provider. There was enough staff to meet people’s needs and protect them from harm. Staff were kind and caring. There were new activity staff in place to enhance social engagement.”
“People were provided with adequate food and drink, including specialised diets. Staff told us they were well led and worked with a dedicated team.”
“The home was clean and tidy. Some parts of the garden areas required work to update them and allow the areas to be utilised fully. This was planned by the provider. We will check this at our next assessment. Governance procedures were in place and were currently being updated after feedback.”
