“The assessment was carried out because of the length of time since our last comprehensive rating. The last rating for this service was good (published 24 October 2019). Following this assessment, the service has received an overall rating of ‘Good’ for the quality statements we assessed.”

“We spoke with the home manager, the regional support manager and the senior regional director. We also spoke with 12 staff including nurses, care staff, the chef, the activities coordinator, the gardener, housekeeper and laundry assistant. We used the Short Observational Framework for Inspection (SOFI). SOFI is a way of observing care to help us understand the experience of people who could not talk with us.”

“We found people were protected from risk of abuse and risks to people were managed well. People were treated with dignity and respect. There were enough staff to support people and meet their needs. People had access to health care professionals when they needed them, and they received their medicines when needed. People’s care was regularly reviewed to ensure this remained effective.”
