“This was a planned assessment. We assessed the service under the safe key question and 3 quality statements of the well led key question. At the last inspection in November 2017 the service was rated Good. At this assessment we found the service remained Good.”

“Some improvements were needed to aspects of staff training and competency, and to ensure employment checks were being carried out in line with the provider policy before staff commence work for the service.”

“Systems were in place to monitor the quality of care people received, however the above areas of development had not been picked up through these systems.”

“People received care which was safe, and staff understood and managed risks regarding people’s individual risks, personal and health needs. There were enough staff to support people.”

“People's medicines were administered safely and as prescribed.”

“Staff used personal protective equipment (PPE) when supporting people to reduce the risk of infection.”

“Systems were in place which ensured lessons were learnt and good practice implemented and embedded over time. The service worked with people and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.”
