“The service learned from incidents and action was taken to ensure improvements were made where needed. There was a clear safeguarding and whistleblowing policy available with details of which agencies to contact in the event of any concern. Staff had been recruited safely and there were sufficient, well-trained staff to meet people's needs. People were supported to safely take the medicines they had been prescribed.”

“Staff worked with other services to ensure people’s needs were met effectively. Staff demonstrated a good understanding of people's individual needs. People were involved in decisions about their care. People and their relatives had been involved in developing their care plans and setting out how they wanted to receive care. People had been supported to express their wishes about future care needs and mental capacity assessments had been carried out when required. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence, and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found people were supported in accordance with the principles of this guidance.”
