“Date of assessment: 7 July 2026. Ryedale Homecare is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with a learning disability, in their own homes. This assessment was undertaken to review regulatory compliance and improvements made following the provider's previous assessment, where a warning notice was issued, and the provider was in breach of regulations relating to governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of this regulation.”
“People were protected from avoidable harm through improved systems for monitoring risk, care delivery, and staff performance. Care plans and risk assessments were detailed, regularly reviewed, and reflected people's individual needs and preferences. Staff received appropriate training, supervision, and competency assessments to support the delivery of safe and effective care. Medicines were managed safely, and people received coordinated support from healthcare professionals when their needs changed.”

“People were supported by caring staff who treated them with dignity and respect and involved them in decisions about their care. Care planning reflected people's strengths, wishes, and desired outcomes. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.”
“At the previous assessment, governance systems had not effectively identified and addressed concerns relating to care records, risk management and oversight of care delivery. During this assessment, we found significant improvements had been made. Leaders had implemented effective quality assurance and auditing systems which provided oversight of care delivery, records, risks and staff practice. The provider demonstrated that actions taken in response to the enforcement action had been embedded and sustained.”
