“We undertook this assessment due to information we received about the safe management of medicines. We found people’s care was safe and people and were happy with the support they received from Mountbatton Care Ltd. Medicines were managed safely and needs of people were appropriately assessed. Staff had access to risk assessments and care plans which enabled them to provide safe and consistent care. People and their families were supported to make informed decisions about their care and staff understood the importance of gaining people’s consent during care visits. Systems were in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and lessons were learned from events which occurred. There were enough staff deployed to ensure staff could meet people’s needs. People received support from staff who were safely recruited, inducted and trained in relation to their specific care needs. This included when staff were supporting a person with a learning disability or an autistic person.”
