“The service had enough staff employed to keep people safe. Pre-employment checks for staff were completed. Staff received an induction at the beginning of their employment, as well as regular training and appraisals throughout their employment. The service had a skills workshop which staff could use to book training courses they thought were relevant to their delivery of care and support to people. The provider had a strong culture of staff development and were proactive in supporting staff with training courses to aid their progression and development.”

“People had care plans and risk assessments in place which documented their care needs. Some care plans had small typo errors, or not enough information to show how to support people fully with their care needs. These were pointed out to the management team and care plans were quickly corrected and updated during the inspection process.”
