“People were supported by staff who knew them well. People’s care plans were person- centred to reflect their needs and wishes. Regular care reviews were undertaken, and relatives were involved in this process where appropriate. Staff spoke passionately about working for ERA and told us they enjoyed their jobs. Staff felt supported by the management team. There were enough staff to ensure people’s needs were met and people had continuity in care. Staff and the management team had good relationships with external health and social professionals and shared information appropriately. Leaders and staff had a shared vision and positive culture based on listening, learning and trust. Governance at the service was robust. Records were continually reviewed and updated. Staff practice was frequently observed, and this was used to drive improvement.”
