The inspection record
Rated Outstanding overall. Report published 18 June 2026.
“Date of Assessment: 5 May to 14 May 2026. Age UK Doncaster is a care at home service providing personal care and support to adults of all ages some of whom were living with dementia. Not everyone using the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this assessment there were 41 people receiving care and support. We carried out this inspection due to the age of the current rating. The service was last inspected in March 2020 and was rated good. At this inspection the rating has improved to outstanding.”
“Staff and leaders worked exceptionally well with external professionals. Staff and leaders looked at realistic changes which would not feel restrictive for people but would increase their knowledge around healthier alternatives and improve their quality of life. The provider consistently recognised and respected people’s strengths, abilities, aspirations, culture, unique backgrounds and protected characteristics. The provider monitored people’s care and treatment to continuously improve it. They ensured outcomes were positive and consistent and fully met both clinical expectations and the expectations of people themselves. People were involved in their care and consented to their support.”
