“This assessment was targeted to follow up on actions required after the last assessment. We looked at medicines management and governance. The previous rating was requires improvement, this was a targeted inspection therefore, the rating will not change.”
“At the last assessment the provider was found to be in breach of the legal regulations relating to medicines management, person centred care and good governance. We looked at medicines management and governance as part of this targeted assessment and found improvements, and the provider is no longer in breach of regulations in these areas.”
“We found improvements had been made within the service. A new manager had been recruited, and the acting manager was appointed as the clinical lead. The provider had also recruited a deputy manager, which ensured a strong leadership team. The provider had worked hard to make improvements. However, some systems and processes needed time to be fully embedded and sustained to continue to drive improvement.”
“Care systems and processes developed provided clearer oversight of the service. Care plans, care records and risk assessments were more detailed, and person centred. Staff told us they now felt supported and were receiving regular support and supervision from the new manager.”
“The service made sure that medicines and treatments were safe and met people’s needs, capacities and preferences. They involved people in planning, including when changes happened.”
