“Since our last assessment, the provider had strengthened their governance processes, including more thorough analysis of areas such as falls and analysing call bell data. The provider was currently making improvements to the environment with extensive refurbishment of the home, which was ongoing. The provider was in the process of making further improvements to their oversight of care plans and risk assessments, including ensuring it was clear who had been involved in reviews.”

“Feedback from staff was mixed around support and some staff told us they did not always feel supported by management and did not always feel comfortable with raising any concerns or complaints.”

“Staff were recruited safely, with appropriate pre‑employment checks completed. We found people also received their medicines in line with prescribed doses and timings, and staff followed safe administration practices.”

“People’s communication needs were assessed. Staff had received safeguarding training and understood how to report concerns.”

“The management team were open and responsive to our feedback and had taken action to address any concerns in a timely manner.”
