Saffron House

“We undertook this assessment between 22 August 2024 and 3 September 2024. Saffron House is a care home supporting people across two floors of accommodation. The service is registered to provide care and accommodation for up to 48 younger and older people, people with physical disabilities and people living with dementia. At the time of our inspection there were 31 people using the service. During this assessment, we found the provider had made improvements and had met the requirements of previous breaches of regulations. However, some improvements were still required to the deployment of staff to ensure people were provided with timely, effective care from skilled and experienced staff. We found one breach of regulation in relation to staffing. The provider had developed more robust oversight and monitoring of the service which had improved systems and processes, though some improvements were not fully embedded in staff working practices. Staff described an improving culture where they received better communication, support and guidance. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.”
