“The atmosphere in the home was relaxed and welcoming. Staff were attentive to people’s needs and people were routinely treated with dignity and respect. The home was clean, well maintained, bright and airy, and people’s rooms were comfortable and personalised.”

“People were safely cared for. Risk assessments were in place, and they identified current risks to the person as well as ways for staff to minimise or appropriately manage those risks. Staff had been recruited safely and were able to support people to help keep them safe. People received their medicines as prescribed.”

“The home had sufficient staffing numbers to help support people safely. Records showed accidents and incidents were documented, investigated and any learning when things went wrong was shared with staff and embedded to improve ways of working.”

“Staff supported people to live healthy lives. Staff worked closely with GPs, speech and language therapists and social workers and followed guidance to support people to meet their individual needs.”

“People were able to participate in meaningful activities with positive engagement. Staff were proactive in adapting activities to people’s needs and interests, including therapy animals and music sessions.”

“Staff spoke positively about working at the service and told us they were well supported by management and their colleagues. Feedback about the registered manager was consistently positive, particularly regarding their open‑door approach and responsiveness.”
