“Manordene provides nursing care and support for up to 22 older people, some of whom may be living with dementia. Some people also have physical disabilities. We completed this assessment on 26 August 2025. We found 9 breaches of the legal regulations in relation to safeguarding people from abuse, safe care and treatment including the management of medicines, staffing levels, including training and competency of staff and poor recruitment practices. The breaches also relate to the lack of person-centred care, people not being treated with dignity and respect, consent not always being sought, unlawful restrictions being placed on people, people’s complaints not being investigated and responded to and poor governance.”

“This service is being placed in special measures. The purpose of special measures is to ensure that services providing inadequate care make significant improvements. Special measures provide a framework within which we use our enforcement powers in response to inadequate care and provide a timeframe within which providers must improve the quality of the care they provide. In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/ or appeals have been concluded.”
