Ivonbrook Care Home

“Date of Inspection: 16 to 29 July 2026. Ivonbrook Care Home is a residential home providing regulated activity to adults under and over the age of 65. The service is registered to provide care for up to 40 people. At the time of our inspection, 28 people were using the service. This inspection was carried out in response to concerns we received about the safety of the service. We found systems were in place to support the monitoring and management of people’s care. However, care plans had not always been updated promptly to reflect changes in people’s needs and some people’s care plans contained conflicting information. The provider had established systems for managing medicines, but these were not always fully effective and required further development to ensure safe and consistent practice. The provider took immediate action during our inspection to put this right.”

“Staff had received safeguarding training and demonstrated a good understanding of their responsibilities to protect people from harm. The provider had processes in place to identify, manage and mitigate risks within the care environment, and there were sufficient numbers of suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. Staff received effective support, supervision and opportunities for development.”
