“Dates of assessment: 14 and 24 November 2025. Hampton Care Limited is a care home providing accommodation, personal care and nursing care to older people, some of whom were living with dementia. The service can support up to a maximum of 76 people. At the time of our assessment 68 people were living at the service.”

“We undertook this unannounced comprehensive onsite assessment to check whether people were receiving safe, effective and responsive care from staff who were caring and well-led. We reviewed all 33 quality statements.”

“People were safe. Risks to their health and well-being were assessed and reduced. The provider worked in partnership with healthcare professionals to manage people’s health risks and complex conditions. The care home environment was bright, clean and devoid of hazards. Care and nursing staff were recruited appropriately, trained and supervised. People received their medicines safely and leaders audited medicines management and the continuing competency of staff to administer them.”

“People’s needs were assessed and care plans provided staff with guidance on meeting them. People and their relatives participated in needs assessments, reassessments, reviews and care planning. Healthcare services were accessed when needed, and people gave consent to the care and support they received.”

“People received personalised care from staff who were kind and caring to them and their relatives. People made choices about how they received their care and support and the service gathered feedback about their satisfaction. Close attention was paid to people’s changing needs and plans were in place to support people requiring end of life care.”

“The service had a registered manager in post and staff felt supported by her. The views of staff were routinely gathered, and the provider supported their well-being. The provider worked in partnership with others to meet people’s needs, including schools, social and faith organisations. The provider promoted a learning culture to drive improvements.”
