Eco Nights

“Date of assessment 07 August to 29 August 2024. Eco Nights is a respite service providing accommodation and personal care for up to six younger people who have a learning disability and/or living with autism. At the time of our inspection there were 6 people using the service.”

“We expect health and social care providers to guarantee autistic people and people with a learning disability the choices, dignity, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Right Support, right care, right culture is the statutory guidance which supports CQC to make assessments and judgements about services providing support to people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. Prior to this assessment, we received concerns about staff interaction, medicines and best interest processes. As a result, we undertook a focused assessment to review 19 quality statements under the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. At the previous comprehensive inspection in 2019, the rating for caring was outstanding. However, at this assessment, the service had not sustained the standards they had achieved at the previous inspection. We found people and relatives were happy with the care and staff remained very caring, however, people were not being supported in a clean and well-maintained environment.”
