“Crann Mor Nursing Home is a care home for up to 24 older people, including people living with dementia. People in care homes receive accommodation and nursing or personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement. CQC regulates both the premises and the care provided, and both were looked at during this inspection.”
“The assessment started on 2 July 2024 and ended on 17 July 2024. We visited the service on 2 July 2024. During our site visit we spoke with the registered manager, the lead nurse, 4 care staff and the chef.”

“We checked standards of fire safety and infection prevention and control (IPC). We reviewed care records for four people, risk assessments, quality audits, medicines management, and records of staff recruitment, training and supervision.”
“We carried out this assessment in response to concerns about standards of fire safety raised by the Fire & Rescue Service and safeguarding concerns raised with the local authority by healthcare professionals.”
“We found the provider had taken action to improve standards of fire safety and worked with the local authority to investigate and address the concerns raised by healthcare professionals.”
