“Date of assessment: 30 April to 5 May 2025. Cotleigh is a residential care home, providing support for people of varying ages, some of whom were living with dementia. The service can support up to 62 people. At the time of our assessment 57 people were using the service. Whilst we found no harm to people, some improvements were needed to some environmental risks and in records relating to people’s dietary needs. This was discussed with the manager on the day of our assessment and action was taken to address these concerns. Medicines were managed safely and people had detailed care plans in place. People were safeguarded from the risk of abuse and people told us they felt safe living at the service. People were supported by enough staff, who were safely recruited and trained to carry out their roles effectively. Staff felt supported and told us the home was well led. At our last assessment we rated the service good. At this assessment the service has remained good.”
