“Dates of assessment: 1 September 2026 to 7 September 2026. The assessment was carried out to provide a first rating of the service under the new provider. We visited the service on 1, 2 and 7 September. Clayton House is a service providing personal care for up to 60 people, some of whom are living with dementia. At the time of our assessment there were 41 people living at the service, 3 of whom were receiving care in hospital.”

“People received safe, effective and person-centred care from a staff team who were kind and caring. Staff knew people well, understood their preferences and risks, and supported them to maintain their independence, make choices and remain involved in meaningful activities.”
