“Date of assessment 19 August to 12 September 2025. The purpose of the assessment was to review the progress of the service following the five breaches of regulation found at our last assessment in September 2023. Following our last assessment, we imposed conditions on the registration of the service indicating what assurances the provider needed in order to meet the regulatory requirements. At the 2023 assessment we found breaches of regulation regarding the systems in place to ensure people’s care was safe, how people were protected from potential abuse and neglect. A lack of person-centred care, concerns about the safe and adequate staffing levels and governance systems. At this assessment we found significant improvements in how care was personalised to meet people’s needs. We found systems in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and neglect were effective. We found the provider was monitoring staffing levels to ensure people were supported by adequate numbers of suitably trained staff. The service was no longer in breach of regulation in these areas. However, we found some concerns about planning for fire emergencies and how the administration of specific medicines was checked for safety. We also found some people’s records for what they had eaten were not accurate and a known risk for one person had not been mitigated as it should have been. This meant the service remained in breach of regulations relating to the safety systems and governance of the service.”

“We saw an overall improvement in the cleanliness and presentation of the home. The standard of people’s care plans to guide staff was much improved. Guidance was specific and personalised to people’s needs and wishes. We saw positive and kind care interactions from staff.”
