“Care Home for Special Needs is a 'care home'. People in care homes receive accommodation and nursing or personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement. CQC regulates both the premises and the care provided, and both were looked at during this inspection. Care Home for Special Needs is registered to provide care for up to 4 people. At the time of our assessment there were 2 people living in the home. During the assessment we spoke with people who lived at the service, their relatives, staff, the registered manager and representatives from other partner organisations.”

“The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation 17 in relation to good governance. Although some improvement had been made, not enough improvement was found at this assessment, and the provider remained in breach of this regulation. ”
“We found 1 breach related to good governance. We found concerns regarding oversight and monitoring of people’s care records including daily notes and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLs), staff recruitment records and the oversight and management of environmental risks.”
