“This was a comprehensive inspection, and we included all quality statements under each of our five key questions. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.”

“Care and support at April Court maximised people’s choice, control and independence. Care was person-centred and promoted people’s dignity, privacy and human rights. Staff treated people kindly and respectfully. They worked in partnership with people, families and professionals to plan and provide safe, effective, personalised care. Staff were trained and supported so they had the skills required to deliver the care people needed. There was an inclusive, positive culture of continuous learning and improvement. Staff roles and responsibilities were clear. There was a strong governance framework, which helped the registered manager have a clear overview of the service.”
