“The assessment included site visits to the service on 2 October 2025. Angelcare residential living is a care home, providing accommodation for people who require nursing or personal care, some of whom may have dementia, for up to 25 people. At the time of the assessment, there were 23 people living at the service.”

“Our assessment found people were provided safe care and treatment. There were robust procedures in place in relation to safe staffing. Safeguarding processes were effective and protected people from the risk of harm or abuse. People received person-centred care. People and their relatives were involved in making decisions around care. The service involved external agencies to assess, mitigate and manage risks for people.”

“We found overall, there to be robust systems and procedures to ensure quality assurance and oversight of the service.”

“The service was clean, hygienic and individual’s bedrooms were well personalised. People were supported to live healthier lives and had access to health care services. People and their relatives gave positive feedback as to the care provided by the service’s staff and leaders. People using the service were well known by staff and leaders and we observed staff to be kind, caring and compassionate towards people. People using the service and staff felt leaders were approachable and any concerns would be addressed swiftly and appropriately.”

“Medicines administration was generally well managed within the service; however, there was a lack of specific information pertaining to people’s needs around medication management. We found some improvements were required to care planning and contemporaneous record keeping. The service has provided information as to how they will address these issues.”
