YourLife (Maidenhead)

“YourLife (Maidenhead) provides personal care to people living in their own apartments; the service is located within a complex of 60 apartments, and not everyone who used the service required support with personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do we also consider any wider social care provided. The service supports older people, and people with a physical disability, sensory impairment or dementia. We carried out an assessment commencing 17 January 2024 and ending on 1 February 2024. We found areas of good practice. Staff understood and responded appropriately to people’s care and support needs, and systems were in place to identify and respond to risks, including safeguarding concerns. The service had experienced a period of management turnover. We received positive feedback about the new manager, and support offered by the provider, but identified further improvements were required to ensure governance systems were embedded and sustained to effectively monitor the quality of the service.”
