“At the last assessment the provider was found to be in breach of the legal regulation relating to good governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of the regulation related to good governance.”
“We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. This provider was able to demonstrate how they were meeting the underpinning principles of ‘Right support, right care, right culture’.”
“The provider had processes to safeguard people from the risk of abuse. Staff were knowledgeable about safeguarding and knew how to act on concerns.”
“There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Staff received appropriate training, and the management team supported staff through regular supervisions and appraisals. Recruitment systems were in place, but these needed to be reviewed to fully ensure the safe recruitment of staff.”
“People received care and support from staff who knew them well and understood their needs and considered their preferences.”
“Risks associated with people’s care and support were identified and action taken to mitigate them.”
