“This assessment was carried out because of the length of time since our last rating. The last rating for this service was Good (published 31 January 2018). At this assessment we found people received exceptional care in some key questions and have rated the key questions of Caring, Responsive and Well-led as Outstanding.”

“There was strong management and leadership within the service which put people first. Staff were proud to work for the service and felt supported and valued for their work. There was a clear positive culture within the service which was demonstrated by the attitudes of staff and management and from feedback received from people.”

“People were respected and valued as individuals and were empowered to be fully involved in their care. Staff treated people with dignity and respect and spent time getting to know them and their needs before providing person led support. There was a genuine person-centred culture, and staff displayed empathy and worked with people and their relatives to understand how best to support them.”

“There were effective strong and inclusive systems in place, with a focus on openness, transparency, and learning. There were clear and effective systems of governance in place to review and monitor all aspects of performance within the service.”
