“Rather Home Care 169-171 Queens Crescent is a large domiciliary care provider providing personal care and support to older people and younger adults with a physical disability or sensory impairment and people living with dementia. At the time of the inspection, the service was supporting 188 people with their personal care needs. Rather Home Care 169-171 Queens Crescent was previously inspected on 02 September 2019 and rated Good, (report published 29 October 2019.) We carried out a desk-based assessment on 12 April 2024 responsive to information of concern we received about the service. The assessment was announced, and the provider received notice that it would be conducted a few days in advance. During this assessment we looked at 9 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe environments; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control; Equity in experiences and outcomes; Shared direction and culture; Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders and Freedom to speak up. Following the assessment, the service has received an overall rating of good for all quality statements assessed.”
