“Date of assessment 30 May to 20 June 2024. This assessment was carried out in response to information we had received about the service. The provider understood safeguarding policies and procedures. There were systems in place to help ensure people did not suffer abuse or come to avoidable harm. Staff we spoke with were confident they knew how to report concerns. The provider responded positively to feedback about medicines practice and training related to supporting people with a learning disability. Staff received an induction, ongoing training, and felt supported by the management team. Staff encouraged people to be independent and offered people choice. The management team sought regular feedback from staff and people using the service, and acted upon this. We spoke with 9 members of staff including the director/nominated individual, the quality assurance manager, administrative staff and care workers. The provider ensured staff had appropriate supplies of personal protective equipment.”
