The service knew the importance of teamwork and communication which supported people in receiving a good experience and quality care.”

Whilst minor shortfalls were identified these were taken seriously and prompt action was taken to resolve them and lessons learnt. A number of audits were undertaken to ensure the service was monitored well and policies and procedures in place complemented this.”

“Effective systems were in place to assess, manage risk and safeguard people from harm and abuse. People received a comprehensive assessment of their needs prior to support commencing and accompanying care plans and risk assessments were overall detailed and reflective of people.”

“Staff were treated equally and understood their roles and responsibilities. They were encouraged to give feedback and were supported well. Staff had received a thorough induction; appropriate training with their competencies checked through spot checks and regular supervisions.”

Staff knew people well and they delivered person centred care. Infection Prevention Control (IPC) measures were in place and medicines were managed safely.”
