“The provider had systems in place to keep people safe. Staff understood risks to people and how to manage them. People received person-centred care, involved in decisions, and supported to stay healthy, maintain independence, and achieve their care goals. There were enough staff. They received appropriate training and support to develop in their roles and deliver effective care. Recruitment checks were undertaken to make sure staff were suitable to support people. Infection risks were managed well.”

“The service was led by senior staff who promoted a positive, inclusive culture and encouraged feedback. While governance systems were in place to monitor the safety and quality of the service, these had not always been fully effective. Improvements were needed in management oversight of recruitment processes. Plans were put in place by the provider during the assessment, to address this.”
