“Bluebird Care (Plymouth and South Hams) provides care and support to older people living in their own homes. Some of the people being supported are living with dementia. Bluebird Care [Plymouth & South Hams] is a franchise of the Bluebird Care Group and is a Homecare agency. Services they provide include personal care and domestic support to people in their own homes, and ‘live in’ support where a care staff lives in the person’s home with them. The service is registered to provide support to a number of client groups. However, almost all of the people being supported by the service are older members of the community.”
“We visited the service’s office in Plympton, Plymouth on 21 May 2024. On the date of our visit there were 88 people receiving a service of whom 63 were receiving personal care and 25 were receiving domestic support only. Of these 88 people, 22 people had a ‘live in’ care worker staying with them in their home.”
