“Key findings”
“We carried out this assessment on 3 September 2026 to confirm whether the rating of good remains accurate. This report does not provide detailed information on areas where we found practice continues to meet a good standard. Instead, our findings focus if we found any areas where the service needs to improve or where we found exceptional practice.”
“The service promoted people's rights, independence, and autonomy, supporting them to have maximum choice and control over their lives. Care was delivered in the least restrictive way possible, with policies, procedures, and systems in place to uphold the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.”
“The provider maintained effective systems for recording, monitoring, and reviewing accidents and incidents to support learning and continuous improvement. Medicines were managed safely, with appropriate arrangements in place for their storage, administration, and monitoring.”
“People were supported to access healthcare services when needed, ensuring their changing health needs were recognised and responded to appropriately. Staff worked in partnership with people, involving them in decisions about their care and support, and ensuring their views, wishes, and choices were respected.”
“There were systems in place to minimise the risk of abuse and to assess, monitor, and manage risks to people using the service. A staff member told us, “If someone is being abused, I will report it to the manager, they will inform the local authority.””
“Staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's assessed care and support needs. People felt there were enough staff working at the service.”
“People received care and support that was tailored to their individual needs, preferences, and goals. Staff had the skills, knowledge, and understanding required to provide personalised support and were encouraged to build positive relationships with people to promote their wellbeing and independence. A staff member told us, “We do different training.””
“The provider welcomed suggestions on how they could develop the service and make improvements. There were systems in place to manage, monitor and improve the quality of the service provided. Staff were aware of their roles and responsibilities and felt supported by the management team.”
“The management team kept themselves up to date with best practice as far as health and social care was concerned.”
