“Date of the assessment was 13 April to 20 April 2026. Best West Bridgford Home Care Ltd is a homecare service providing care and support to adults of all ages, people who are living with dementia, physical disabilities or sensory impairments living in their own home. Not everyone using the service was receiving a regulated activity. At the time of our assessment 9 people were supported by the service with a regulated activity. Regulated activity is defined as help with care related to personal care. The provider had registered with us on 1 July 2022, and this was their first assessment. This was an offsite assessment; this meant we requested all records to be sent to us electronically and reviewed them offsite.”

“During this assessment we found care plans did not always contain clear, detailed guidance to support staff to manage people’s health conditions or deliver care in line with best practice. Incidents and accidents were not consistently recorded or shared with the management team and the Mental Capacity Act (2005) was not always followed, as capacity assessments were not routinely completed where required.”
